About the Event
Each person has decision power by taking responsibility for their actions and attitudes. A good rule of thumb is to not worry about things you cannot control and make room for focusing on the things you can. It’s all possible if girls know how to practice these skills.
Decision-making and being assertive is a foundation strategy to help you use your voice, look people in the eye, not make excuses, not seek external validation or approval from others, and have the right mindset to change your mind.
In week four of our summer series, we will explore Being Assertive. We will have an opportunity to equip girls with tools to support them to be straightforward and honest with themselves and others about what they need and want.
Decision-Making strategies & Assertiveness often create the pathways to:
- Stronger coping mechanisms and faster recovery from life challenges
- Empowerment in decision making that influence positive outcomes
- The confidence and clarity to set healthy boundaries
- An ability to see situations from multiple perspectives and create a better understanding with others
- Healthier self-talk and body image
- Better discernment and decision making
