We’ve designed this experience to elevate her confidence, leadership abilities, and community impact. This pivotal moment in her life is not just about preparing for the next chapter but actively writing it. The Peer Leadership Program is the perfect stage for her to challenge herself, nurture her talents, and showcase her leadership potential in ways that will help shape her future.
IMMERSIVE LEADERSHIP CAMP EXPERIENCE
Following their specialized training, peer leaders are required to attend at least one week of our summer camp, with the option to participate in more. Throughout the camp, they play a crucial role in setting up activities, facilitating sessions, and ensuring a positive and engaging environment for campers. Their involvement not only enhances the camp experience but also provides an invaluable hands-on leadership opportunity.
FOUNDATIONAL LIFE SKILLS THROUGH EXPERT MENTORSHIP
Beyond networking, our peer leaders engage directly with experienced mentors, including Jill, Mary, and other highly experienced facilitators. They'll benefit from hearing guest speakers and participating in enriching activities that are designed to inspire and fill them with new perspectives, regardless of age. This invaluable experience can also serve to fulfill service hour requirements and letters of recommendation are given upon request, enriching both their personal growth & professional resumes.

HEY, WE'RE JILL & MARY!
We're the duo behind Girls Mentorship. Together, we're dedicated to empowering young women by teaching essential life skills that foster confidence, empathy, & leadership in a fun + supportive environment.
Back in August 2020, we had a moment of reflection: what would our younger selves have achieved if they had the personal growth tools we have now? Everywhere we looked, we saw young girls grappling with confidence issues, battling negative self-talk, wrestling with poor self-image, and navigating the tricky waters of anxiety and depression. It struck a chord. Weren't we in those same shoes just 20 years ago? It was a realization that even with the passage of time, many things remained unchanged. Girls were still missing the vital skills to rise above these challenges.
That pivotal moment led to a decision: we wanted to be the beacon of change. We envisioned extending a helping hand to the young girls who mirrored our past selves. Our mission? To enrich their social-emotional learning skills, guiding them towards realizing the brightest, most confident versions of themselves. And what an incredible journey it's been, and continues to be!
After Hannah's time in the peer leadership program, her confidence blossomed, & her maturity in handling situations improved remarkably. She's truly stepped into a new level of self-assurance. Witnessing her transformation was inspiring. This program is a must for empowering young women.
Over the time she spent in the leadership program, her confidence significantly increased. She often reflects on past situations, noting how she'd approach them now with her new skills. The program has sparked a transformative shift in her behavior, mindset & leadership qualities.
