PARTNERS WITH:

What She Gains as a Peer Leader

The Peer Leader Program is for girls ready to step into responsibility while support is still built in.

As a Peer Leader, she doesn’t just participate. She shows up with purpose.

Why This Matters Right Now

✔ High school moves fast.
✔ Expectations rise quickly.
✔ And the chance to practice leadership before it is expected is rare.

The Peer Leader Program helps girls use their time with intention & leave more confident in who they are.

Here is what that experience gives her:

Leadership That’s Practiced, Not Theorized

She gains real leadership experience supporting campers, guiding group dynamics, and modeling maturity, kindness, and accountability.

Clearer Communication & People Skills

She learns how to speak clearly, listen intentionally, navigate challenges, and guide younger girls with confidence and empathy. These are the skills many teens are expected to have, but rarely get to practice in a supported environment.

A Peer Group That Raises the Standard

Peer Leaders form meaningful connections with other girls who are also choosing growth, leadership, and accountability. This isn’t just a social circle. It's a community built on effort, character, and mutual respect.

Experience That Actually Prepares Her for What’s Next

Yes, this role strengthens applications and rĂŠsumĂŠs, but more importantly, it prepares her for high school, leadership roles, work environments, and adulthood by giving her real responsibility now while guidance and feedback are still built in.

Confidence Rooted in Capability

This role builds confidence the right way: through responsibility, trust, and follow-through. She doesn’t just feel more confident, she becomes more capable, which impacts how she shows up everywhere else.

Confidence Doesn’t Just Happen — It’s Built, Practiced, and Strengthened From Within

Leadership Is Practiced. Give Her The Space She Needs to Practice.

Raising a high school daughter today comes with pressure we didn’t grow up with.

She’s no longer a little kid, but she’s not fully an adult yet.
And somehow, she’s expected to start acting like one.

Girls this age are expected to be confident, responsible, emotionally aware, and ready for what’s next often before they’ve had many chances to actually practice those skills.

At the same time, this generation is often misunderstood.

They’re labeled as distracted, unmotivated, overly dependent on their phones, and not ready to lead.

But many girls aren’t lacking capability.

They’re lacking opportunities to practice leadership in environments that both expect more of them and support them.

You may recognize this in her:

✔ She’s capable, but hesitant to step forward
✔ She waits to be told what to do instead of trusting her judgment
✔ She avoids leadership roles because she does not feel prepared
✔ She has confidence, but struggles to turn it into action

Not because she doesn’t care.

Because she hasn’t had enough chances to practice leading safely, intentionally, and with guidance.

And this is the critical moment.

If she doesn’t get leadership reps now, she’ll be expected to lead later without them.

Leadership doesn’t appear at graduation. It shows up when girls are given real responsibility first.

That’s exactly what the Peer Leader experience is designed to do.

THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THE PEER LEADER PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO DO...

The Right Experience Can Change
the Trajectory

From being trusted with responsibility and supported while learning how to carry it.

This is where the Peer Leader Program comes in.

A single summer, when designed intentionally, can change how a girl sees herself.
Not just socially, but as a capable, responsible leader preparing for what’s next.

Instead of wondering if she’s ready to lead,

she steps into a role that expects more of her and shows her she can rise to it.

Instead of being told to figure it out,

she’s given real leadership practice with guidance, feedback, and mentorship.

Instead of sitting on the sidelines,

she learns what it feels like to be depended on and trusted.

This isn’t about pushing her into a role she’s not ready for.

It’s about giving her the structure, responsibility, & support to step more fully into who she already is.

As a Peer Leader, she practices showing up prepared, supporting others, and using her voice with intention. And through that experience, her confidence becomes grounded in capability, not just encouragement.

With clear expectations, real responsibility, and a community that believes in her, girls don’t just grow older. They grow ready.

If you want her to strengthen her confidence, practice leadership in real time, and step into the next version of herself, the Peer Leader Program is exactly where she belongs.

💡 If you want her to strenghten her confidence, practice leadership skills in real time, and step into the next version of herself, the Peer Leader Program is exactly where she belongs.

Introducing the Pursue More Peer Leadership Experience

This is Pursue More from the leadership seat.

As a Peer Leader, she isn’t attending camp as a participant.
She’s stepping into a role that gives her more but also asks more of her.

The Peer Leadership Experience is a high-responsibility, hands-on leadership opportunity for girls who are ready to practice leading themselves and others in a real, supported environment.

For five intentional days, she becomes part of the backbone of camp, helping shape the experience, support younger girls, and model the kind of leadership Pursue More is built on.

This isn’t about being in charge.
It’s about learning how to show up, take responsibility, and lead with purpose.

What the Peer Leader Experience Looks Like

During the week, Peer Leaders:

💡 Step into real leadership roles by mentoring and supporting younger campers
🎤 Help lead camp-wide moments like icebreakers, group activities, and the Talent Show
🤝 Build strong connections with other Peer Leaders who are also choosing growth and responsibility
✨ Experience the same energy, fun, and community of camp

Throughout the week, leadership isn’t talked about, it’s practiced.

With guidance, expectations, and feedback built in, Peer Leaders learn what it feels like to be depended on, trusted, and accountable while still having space to grow.

From day one, this experience is designed to stretch her, support her, and help her step more fully into the leader she’s becoming.

Built-In Training & Preparation

This isn’t a casual volunteer role, it’s a structured leadership experience designed to prepare girls for real responsibility.

All Peer Leaders complete short, required training videos prior to camp; training videos will become available at the beginning of May and they are intentionally kept concise, easy to follow, and genuinely helpful, not just another task to check off. Each video is paired with a simple PDF guide so girls can review key points and feel confident stepping into their upcoming role.

Preparation is part of leadership and this ensures Peer Leaders arrive at camp confident, capable, and ready to lead.

Peer Leader Preview Day

Before campers arrive, Peer Leaders step into the space first.

Each summer, we host a dedicated Preview Day so they can get oriented, understand their role, and begin the week grounded and prepared.

During Preview Day, Peer Leaders:
✨ Get familiar with the camp environment
✨ Review expectations, roles, and boundaries
✨ Learn the flow of camp and how the first day runs
✨ Set leadership intentions for the week ahead
✨ Ask questions and gain clarity

By Monday morning, they’re not walking in unsure, they’re walking in ready to go.

Attendance is required for all Peer Leaders.

Through these trainings, she gains:

Our guest speakers represent a wide range of industries and experiences, including:

A clearer understanding of responsibility and how to show up for others

Social confidence in new environments and group settings

Practice thinking through real-life leadership situations

A sense of belonging before camp even begins

**DISCLAIMER**

What She’s Catching Matters

Whether we like it or not, girls are always learning.
Not just from what they’re taught, but from what they see modeled around them every day.

They catch beliefs from social media.
They catch attitudes from peers.
They catch expectations from a world that tells them to grow up fast while also telling them they’re not enough.

There’s a short season where influence lands deeply and examples matter more than advice.
What she’s catching now becomes what she carries later.

And once patterns settle in, they’re harder to reshape.

And Right Now, You Have Two Paths...

Path One: You Give Her the Experience

She steps into a space where leadership isn’t theoretical, it’s practiced.

She learns what it looks like to show up prepared, support others, and take responsibility with confidence.

She spends a week in an environment that reinforces:
✔ initiative instead of hesitation
✔ responsibility instead of avoidance
✔ confidence rooted in action, not approval

She walks into the next school year knowing she can lead, contribute, and hold her own in new situations, not because someone told her she could, but because she’s done it.

Path Two: You Wait

Another summer passes.

She continues catching whatever the world models for her, comparison, pressure, mixed messages, all without intentional space to practice something stronger.

She’ll still grow.
But often through trial and error instead of guided experience.

And the opportunity to build these skills while support is built in quietly closes.

Here’s the Reality

Leadership, confidence, and responsibility don’t appear when they’re needed.

They’re built through repetition, experience, and the right environment.

The earlier that process starts, the easier it becomes.
The later it starts, the harder it gets.

Why Waiting Doesn’t Work

Peer Leader spots are intentionally limited.

✔ Roles are capped to protect the experience
✔ Weeks are already filling
✔ Once leadership spots are full, registration closes

Waiting doesn’t keep this option open.
It removes it.
